Coomera Soccer 12 Div 2

Week 2 and we came up against Gold Coast Knights. The final score 10 – 0 certainly did not reflect the actual game accurately. The Coomera guys played well and had our fair share of time in their half with a number of scoring opportunities.

For our first actual run as a team on the pitch, it was a reasonably good start. The boys put in a big effort and positional play was quite good. There are a couple of tactical aspects we do need to work at as a team.

We had plenty of opportunities in the second half, although we had a couple of runs where GCK put away consecutive goals.

In the scheme of things, the calibre of the players on both sides was pretty much equal with GCK having one or two players who had the speed over our guys.

We are playing Murwillumbah this Saturday. This will mean an early start to be there at 8am. Allow an extra 20 minutes or so to get through Tugan although it should not be too bad at that time of morning. We hope for a better result this week.
