Updates Player Profiles
Firstly, I wish to sincerely thank the team families for the great presentations and gifts. I appreciate it.
I want to thank all of the players for a great season. We had a number of wins and player for player matched up to the vast majority of the other teams. On the scheme of things we were only beated by one club fielding their B team as all of the others were fielding their best Under 12s in this division. So well done, boys.
Each of the boys contributed hugely to the results this season and a good number of the boys should be knocking on the door of Div 1 with a little bit more work.
A couple of other bits of information.
I anticipate that the team photos will be available during later in the week. My plan is to be down at the Club at 5:30pm on Thursday to distribute the photos. I will text you all when I know for sure.
The extra soccer clinics for those who are interested will start at 4:30pm on Monday 15 September.

Update
The game against Kingscliff is now scheduled to kick off at 7pm. Please be there at 6.20pm. There will be no training. Field 3.
The last post now has details about team photos.
We have a busy schedule over the next forteen days or so till the end of the regular season.
We will need to have as many players on deck for each of these as it is a fairly rigorous program on the home straight.
Monday 4 August – 5pm training run
Wednesday 6 August – Game vs Kingscliff 7.00pm on Coomera Field 3. Be there at 6:20pm please. No training tonight.
Saturday 9 August – Game vs Merrimac 9.40am on Coomera Field 2. Be there at 9am please. I will be absent with a work conference on this day. Thanks to Matt Pickering for looking after the team.
Sunday 10 August – Game vs Burleigh Heads 9am on Coomera Field 2. Be there at 8.30am please.
Monday 11 August – No training – we will give the boys and parents a break tonight.
Wednesday 13 August – last training session for the season
Saturday 16 August – Game vs Tamborine Mountain at Tamborine Mountain Field 1 at 11.10am. Our team’s photo will be taken at 9.15am at Coomera today. We will turn up then, get kitted out for the photo and stay in game mode to travel to Tamborine for the last game of the season.
Saturday 6 September – Presentation and Break up 5pm . Team Trivia Night and presentation at the Club.
Training did not happen today as Gold Coast City Council closed the grounds at 3pm. Unfortunately the Council threatens the club with fines if there is a problem and they have closed the grounds.
The weather is certainly looking better now so I hope training will happen on Wednesday and expect no problem with the game this Saturday.
We have some busy weeks coming up and two games to catch up on. I will let everyone know when I know when the Kingscliff and Burleigh games are rescheduled.
Happy 12th Birthday to Danny! I know that he was as disappointed as the rest of the team of not training and not playing.

This weekend
I am away interstate this weekend and will organise one of the DOCs to look after the team for the game this Saturday. At this stage, the fields are lakes of water with more showers forecast, I think the chances of the game being on are fairly slim.
To check if the game is on, please check the Club website after 3.30pm on Friday.
Rain on Tuesday and Wednesday has meant that the Coomera fields were closed from Wednesday onwards this week meaning the cancellation of the game this week. This will need to be rescheduled.
I did receive a message from Kingscliff who were ‘happy’ to host the game down there, but I did not think that too many families were in a position to change arrangements at the last minute to drive down to Kingscliff on Saturday morning.
We will have training on Monday as usual and look forward to a game. I am interstate next weekend and won’t be at the game. I let people know that I also have a commitment on 8 August as well. Thanks to Matt who organised the team for the last game. I will be hoping to put similar arrangements in place for next week;s Burleigh game.
It was a great game today against Murwillumbah and gave us much needed points. We also have a game at hand – tomorrow at 9.40am against Pacific Pines.
We will be very lean on numbers and will probably be fielding 10 or 11 players. I have tried to recruit some 11s but to no avail so we will need everybody we can muster for the Pacific Pines game.
